COVID-19 Update
Read below for up-to-date information on how EBR is responding to the coronavirus pandemic.
January 1, 2020
EBR Community,
While the world continues to adjust to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, EBR's efforts to assist parrots and bird owners remains strong. However, to adhere with CDC and OHS guidelines, we must modify our programs to protect the public and our volunteers. Read below to find out what we're doing differently to stop the spread of the virus. If you don't find what you're looking for, feel free to send us an email at questions@ebroregon.org.
New precautions for COVID-19
-
Volunteers, foster parents, and prospective adoptive owners are required to wear a face mask during face-to-face visits.
-
Volunteers, foster parents, and prospective adoptive owners are required to maintain a 6+ ft distance whenever possible.
-
Foster homes reserve the right to refuse in-home visitation if they have health concerns.
-
All Meet-and-Greet events are canceled until further notice. Check back regularly for special online events.
-
Our bird care classes have moved online and can be accessed here.
-
Home visits for prospective owners have been moved to a virtual visit until further notice. In-person visits during the pandemic, are handled on a case-by-case basis.
This time has been difficult for us, as funds and capacity at the rescue remain limited. Nevertheless, we remain committed to our mission of placing exotic birds in good homes. To help us weather the storm, please consider helping us out with a donation. Here's how:
-
Monetary donations - one time or monthly
-
Toy donations
